Would you like the chance to immerse yourself in nature, meet new friends and take part in fun hands-on activities?!

Come and join our Forest School sessions based at Aspens’ beautiful woodland, which is home to a rich variety of wildlife, trees and plants!

With supervision from our highly trained support staff, you’ll have the chance to learn about the forest and nature, take part in whittling, crafting, rope work, building fires, cooking over an open-fire and lots more.

The sessions run the first and second Sunday of every month, from 10am-4pm, and are open to those aged 8-25 who have a diagnosis of ASC (autism spectrum condition) or a learning disability and live in East Sussex (transport to and from our woodland in Kent is provided and the pick-up point is from Battle).

One of the young people who takes part in the sessions said: “I have fun chopping and whittling wood, making fires and drinking hot chocolate! The bit I love most is meeting new friends and being outside in the forest. I always feel tired afterwards, but nicely tired because I’ve been working outside in the fresh air.”

His mum said: “My son’s confidence in his abilities is improving as he challenges himself to do things outside his comfort zone and achieves them. His co-ordination and independence are improving and who doesn’t feel better after spending time in nature?!”

£15 per session. Please contact Curtis at [email protected] for further information.
