Ellasdale Road is a three storey semi-detached Victorian house situated in Bognor Regis within a short walking distance of the main town, local shops, the beach and other amenities.

The environment is tailored to the needs of the individuals and structured with autism specific communication systems such as PECS (Pictorial Exchange Communication System). Our team staff is responsible for Health and Safety along with Fire Safety in line with company policy and procedures.  The home is decorated in soft tones promoting a calming atmosphere at all times in accordance to the Aspens Environmental Policy.

Our staffing team consists of a Home Manager, Deputy Manager and 7 Support Workers and 3 Waking Night Support Works, providing 24/7 care in addition to an on-call service. All Aspens staff are highly experienced and have autism specific training as well as a wide range of other training specific to the needs of the service users. The government also expects care staff to gain NVQs in care, so that they are suitably qualified in this skilled area of work.

Residents are encouraged to attend activities away from the home and these include, swimming, attending the gym, horse riding, bowling, walking, cycling, days out, cinema, pottery, arts & crafts, computers, Zumba, sewing and knitting and meals out, as well as we encourage them to undertake work experience.  The objective is for them to integrate into the community and participate in meaningful day time activities.

Similar activities are carried out at home and service users are encouraged to carry out independent living skills, which are incorporated into their daily schedules. Trips to the theatre, parks, pub lunches, shopping and day trips also take place. All the residents living at Ellasdale Road have very active involvement and input from their parents and families who visit them on a regular basis.
